Getting a dining room table from some friends tonight. Funny when I think that it is my ex and her fiancee. And how weve come so far to stay friends and Im even good friends with her fiancee.

My fabulous family and friends.
I was expecting the all black theme for my *ahem* momentous birthday moment (it's not for another two days, but the fam celebrated today), but I was not expecting the outpouring of giftage. Came home with a TOTALLY kick-a** Nikon Coolpix touch screen camera, Chili's gift card, a cool "vintage 1970" hat, a couple of "40" coffee mugs, a shopping trip with my mom and a bunch of cash. And that's not even counting that my besties had already gone in to pay half on a new set of tires.
And omg, the cards were hysterical. My sisters are infamous for giving more than one, so each gave me three — two funny and one mushy.
The gifts were totally fabulous, but not nearly as cool as two of my best friends and their families each driving a couple of hours for the lunch. They weren't nearly as cool as seeing all the old pictures of myself (yeah, I totally rocked a mullet when I was 14), and not nearly as cool as being able to spend the time laughing and loving with my family (even if they liked my hair better back in the day. They're not down with the faux hawk).
Maybe the best birthday ever!
