Oh the sun!
How I have missed the Sun
Over this past winter
I want to feel the yellow warmth upon my face
Warming my body and soul
This winter has gone on far too long in my opinion
Let the Sun shine!
Let the world grow!
And spring forth with life once more!
Oh Goddess bless with an early spring!
Bless us with love, life and laughter
Growing strong under the Mighty Sun!
Like a lover the Sun wraps his warm arms around me.

When is enough enough?
When is calling it quits alright?
This is too much or maybe not enough

Your priorities are skewed
Are we even following the same path anymore?
You took one fork and I took the other

Can we meet up again further down the path?
Or will we keep going opposite directions?
I miss you already

Do you see that I am not by your side?
Or are you hypnotized but what you think is so great?
Is it so great that you are willing to lose me?

I love you and always will
But I cannot walk the path you are on
I cannot watch you either

So please stop and reflect on your current steps
They carry you farther away from me
Is that what you want?

Or do you want to walk this path with me
Remember the path we planned together
Take my hand my darling, lets forge ahead as one.

I know how you feel
Those moments of worthlessness so overwhelming
But your worth is not determined by others
If they recognize you for your awesomeness or not

I know you deny dashing good looks
That is fine with me
Because it means you have no ego I have to contend with
But that doesn't mean you are ugly by any stretch of the imagination.

You are a great friend in so many ways
I cannot count them because I think I would lose count
My friend you are awesome
Don't let anyone take that away from you

Your worth is determined by you and you alone
It is nice to hear thank you and what a great job
But in the end you must acknowledge yourself
And your awesomeness!

I stand there
Watching the people
Laughing and talking with each other
I wonder why I feel so distant from all of this

I walk through the crowd
Moving through them like a little wisp of air
Turning my head back and forth
Searching for something I have lost

The people move around me
Never seeing me
Never touching me
As if I am not there on their plane of existence

Then I see you looking at me
A smile spreading across your face
That smile just for me
That sends tingles through my whole body

I step towards you
A smile on my lips
Like coming to life
Just for you

You take my hand
Like magic I exist
For you and everyone else in the room
For they see me through your eyes

Behold the beauty you perceive before you
And it is true for you and for me
Our love for each other makes us the most beautiful in the world
And forever whole in each others arms.

I take a step out on my porch
The early morning sun coming up from the east
I can hear the birds singing
Telling their secret
That spring is on its way

I sip my coffee
Closing my eyes
Listening to the music of early spring morning
Enjoying the warmth of the sun on my flesh
Feeling it soak into me, down to the bones

Spring is in my blood
All I want is to go out and DO!
Do everything that I have missed over these winter months
Riding bikes, long walks with my love on the river side
Even yard work seems more pleasure then pain

Spring is in my blood
All I can do is smile and laugh
The sun is here once again
Share this secret with one and all
For Spring brings joy to so many

Red hearts and red roses
Chocolates galore
Words of sweet romance
Another Valentine's Day has come

For some it is grand
Dinner out with your one true love
Gifts exchanged
To prove your affection for each other

But for others it is Singles Awareness Day
Another reminder that you alone
No one to come home to
No one to share your day with at its end

Good luck for the lovers
May your love continue strong and pure
And for my single friends
Be patient, if you want this love, one day it will come

So Happy Valentine's Day my friends
Enjoy your day
Be it with your love
Or be it alone

Stereotypical gender roles are broken with us my love
I am the mighty bug killer
While you pick out the best girly outfits for me
I have the mechanical know how
Fixing toilets is child's play for me
Oh you still bring home the bacon by the pounds
But you are the one to do the laundry and cook the dinner
Your head in my lap is the sweetest feeling
While dancing slowly in our living-room late at night
Well that just tickles us both pink
I am she and you are he
But to be true we are One
Neither gender applies to us
