Here I am
On the border
Of reality and insanity
There is no up
And there is no down
No left nor right
I can hear everything
But nothing at the same time
My sense of touch
Is hypersensitive
As is my sense of smell
I am overloaded
Feeling as if I am on deaths door
Praying to pass through
For this is too much
Too intense
But I hear your voice
You keep calling me back
Back from the brink of oblivion
I am grateful
Yet hateful
Miserable
Yet happy to know I am loved
Loved so dearly
That I come back to life
For you and you alone

I am sure you have heard the phrase
The grass is greener on the other side
But honey I have been there
This side or that side
It is the same amount of work to keep your grass green
Green here or green there

Just be true to yourself
And be honest to the other person involved
It isn't all their fault
Nor is it all your fault I'm sure
It takes two to tango
For all relationships, young or old

All relationships take hard work
If you aren't willing to work on this relationship
Are you willing to work on another?
If it was easy it wouldn't be worth it
Because it is worth it you have to work for it
So think it through before you make a mistake

Here winter abounds
Freezing cold weather
Cold wet snow everywhere

All I can dream of is TCO
TransCampOut is wonderful summer fun
With the warm sun and friends from near and far

The field of green green grass
A creek full of water gurgling down the middle of it
Laughter of so many fine people

Here in the midst of winter
I dream of my summer to come
Almost warmed up with just the thought

So I will keep dreaming of TCO
Dreaming of the warmth and the friends
Until it becomes a reality once more

As I lay down to sleep
I think of my day
Of what was
And what wasn't
Of the doors that closed
And the one that opened
Thinking of you taking my hand
Walking with me
Sharing my journey
For all the ups and downs
At times you help hold me up
At others you carry me through the worst
You seem to inherently know
When I need my Superman
As I lay down to sleep
I snuggle up beside you
Feeling safer then I ever have before
And feeling grateful
Not just for my Superman
But those strong arms you wrap around me
When the storm hits and I am fearful at night
My Superman and yet my Teddy Bear
Man of Steel with the softest heart
As I lay down to sleep
Besides you
I whisper "I love you"

Here it is Monday
A day of great regret
Funny how much energy can go into one day

Monday so negative
Friday so positive
Everything in-between of no importance

Truly Monday is just another day
Like any other
Another day ending in 'Y'

So when you open your eyes this Monday
Choose to smile at the day
Rather then be a Grumpy Gus

What would it hurt?
Maybe a less crappy day
With a smile plastered to your face

Unless of course you like being miserable
Then proceed on being an ass
Hurts you more then me.

We stand together
On this cliff
A metaphor to be sure
Watching the sun rise

Our whole lives before us
The sun warming us down to our toes
As our love for one another
Warm our souls

We wrap our arms around each other
My head on your chest
Your head rested on my head
Cradling our love in a protective embrace

We know the time has come
To take a step off the cliff
And walk out into the world
That is laid out before us

Secure in love
Secure in trust
For each other
Forever and always

Holding each others hand
We turn to face the sun
Welcoming us to our new lives
Together we step off into infinity

Death the final frontier
What lays beyond is unknown to man
Except maybe a glimpse or two
By a special few

Do these few feel blessed for the look they were given?
Or terrified by what lays ahead in the next realm?
I hope that Death is not a frontier we will ever conquer
We are not Gods or Goddesses to play with lives

Just like everyone else
Death is an unknown terror for me
Live each day like it is your last
Cherish every day and every night
