headed to work for a luncheon with coworkers and the head honchos so I'm guessing fancy schmancy lil sandwiches and lots of talk !

What's an english pea? Is that where you use the bidet afterwards?

Blunch today was a big fat sausage barm cake (a northern Yookay soft bread bun), with burnt/caramelised onions and chilli mustard.

It's a carb day, no getting around it, sooo...onions and garlic sauteed in EVO and tossed over cheese tortellini, topped with shaved reggiano. Probably a glass of Pinot Grigio, too.

I made potato soup with red potatoes, onions sautéed with bacon pieces. To continue the bacon theme...Grilled sourdough, thick cut applewood smoked bacon, Havarti, smoked gouda, and American cheese sandwiches, with thinly sliced tomatoes and mayo.

Wow, a much better than expected experimental homemade salad: can of rinsed cannellini beans, cooked/cooled green lentils, diced sweet raw vidalia onions, cooked/cooled red quinoa, chopped celery, diced red tomato -- tossed together, chilled, and doused with lite raspberry vinagairette. My prediction is that this will not last the entire weekend, or even 'til Monday.
