Spent the afternoon on the deck doing some reading. Was a gorgeous day with generous sunshine, temps in the 60's, and relative quietness. Love lazy days like this. Also love getting some color.

I have the window partially open , since it is a beautiful day outside and I am eating some lunch while going over the many started lists I found stashed away.

I've been working on a highly developed matrix of scholarly materials that I keep on hand in a file for: "Race, Power & Privilege."

I've been reading from several books over the past few weeks:
North and South, Thunderstruck, Unbought and Unbossed, and for sheer pleasure, The Girl Who Kicked The Hornet's Nest.

Looking for a better apartment or townhouse that is closer to town.

Hanging out with friends who live nearby.

Keeping 'tabs' on my mother
(who recently showed up on an unannounced visit).

eta: I'm also crocheting a new hat for myself.
