A few bits from the day ...
Warm and lazy, Sunday afternoons.
The sound of large black bumblebees buzzing to and fro. Thick, sweet, sesame seed laden Teriyaki sauce. Refreshing iced coffee, mixed heavily with cream. Ideas coming to life. A still, somewhat darkened room, after a day of sunshine saturation. Forgoing the blow dryer for a day and enjoying natural, soft wavy hair. |

Sweet texts from my children inviting me to dinner and to visit...
Puppy snuggles just because it's a lazy day.... Time spent with Dad in front of the television being mindless... Working in the kitchen with Mom to create a fantastic dinner.... Fun times creating something for someone special....this even includes preparing the packages to ship.... The blessings that I have in my life...some days I feel my cup just runneth over with so many good things that are happening.... |

a short impromptu visit from my sister, checking up on my pain levels and mood and needs. feeling tired but not exhausted. Moderation is a good sign! the tv show Alcatraz. Why was it ended?? getting more feeling back in my finger that had gone numb from the nerve block

Just for starters....
An early morning parent-teacher conference where I was told how much the staff appreciate my 10 year old daughter for being kind and helpful to other students. Apparently should she find herself an orphan there is quite a long line to adopt this kid.
The school egg drop competition this afternoon and the fun that will be had! Looking up from my desk and there at my office door was a former co-worker I had not seen in 12 years. Going out for lunch with above co-worker and sitting at an outdoor cafe under beautiful blue skies and warm sunshine. Our last meal together had been splitting a ripe mango sprinkled with cinnamon while dangling our feet over the side of a half-sunken boat in Samoa. Watching the breeze bobble the heads of the tulips about. (Can flowers gigggle? These seemed to be!) Lemonade with a touch of vanilla, star anise and mint. |

Why stop at just 5......
Late evening strolls at dusk with the scents of magnolia and gardenia wafting in the warm Southern air.
The dahlias I planted this spring growing tall and strong and ready to bud out. Leisurely shopping in the new art supply store and coming home with a bag full of potential joy. Brushing dirt off tomatoes still warm from the sun and tasting of all things summer. So juicy you eat them over the sink peaches. Stepping out into a soft morning breeze and the way the hem of my skirt brushes my calves. That tomorrow is Friday!

A lukewarm (kinda cool) shower on a hot day.
Feeling squeaky clean and fresh after said above shower. The scent of freshly laundered and dried on the outside line clothes. The feel of the muscles of the body relaxing into the recliner when it is kicked back. The luxury of a/c and a nice cold drink at the end of a long day. |
