My BFF's and I will be there on Sat (7/13) around 9AM, for the parade starting at 11, to hear and feel the rumble of the Dykes on Bikes. We may take the train down from OC , and cab over to for the parade. Anyone want to meet and watch the parade together?

I'll be there all day Saturday and Sunday! I am coordinating ASL interpreters for the event. Justin will be there too and sunshyne. Yay! Should be fun. I'll be there early so I can stake a spot out.

We were right here, on this side of the finish line waiting and watching and cheering for them all, and watching for Mike (My friend's brother) and Chris, among the 2,203 riders as they arrived from San Francisco. What a powerful day, as we celebrated with them and realized what an awesome extended family we have when we come together to do things.

After the ceremonies we went to Mike and Steve's and watched the slide show of pictures Mike took along the way. Where whole towns welcomed the Aids riders and had a BBQ for them on one, Ice Cream for all in another and then the shots we don;t get to see.

The tent city they slept in every night, the chow halls set up for their meals,
the porta potties set up at their overnight stops, and the medics with ace bandages, gauze and caring for those injured warriors. I am in awe, and inspired to give more, to care more, to do more. Because, I can.

We are meeting at the Velvet Lounge, at 4:30 pm for happy hour (416 West 4th Street Santa Ana, CA 92701), get something to eat and drink then walk over to the rally at the Old County courthouse, several blocks away. PM me if questions and you can join us at the Lounge or the Court House.

TOGETHER. THE FUTURE.
The US Supreme Court will deliver its decisions on Prop 8 and DOMA tomorrow morning. We will gather tomorrow (Wednesday) evening in Santa Ana to, we hope, celebrate, but more than anything, to come together as a community in times of great accomplishment or strife. Let's show Orange County, California, and this country that we are here.
