I haven't been able to watch the Tour because I have been away at the beach where I have no cable. Yes, I am hoping for Froome as well. Honestly though, I have no real emotional investment in any rider winning.

Contador...yep, can't stand the guy.

I hope you're having fun at the beach.

It's fantastic to have Brits doing so well in the Tour in recent years. It accompanies star performers in the velodrome and road TTing. People such as Sir Chris Hoy, Brad Wiggins and Victoria Pendleton have inspired so many more folks to cycle after seeing them triumph at major sporting events in the last decade, especially the last two Olympics.

It's sure adding flavour to my Tour interest after 15/20yrs of watching on tv and a 45yr passion for cycling. My mate Andy and I are talking about a trip to watch the 2014 Grand Depart (or at least one of the two stages) over the Pennines, to the east, in the major towns of Yorkshire.

It does make a whole load of difference if ya have a particular interest in one or more of the riders.

Yet to see or hear about today's stage so I don't know if Froome has defended the yellow jersey again.

Today's a rest day.

I was able to see a bit of yesterday's stage (9) and I will admit I have a bit of Froome fever. Yes, it is much more fun if you have a favorite!

Oh, no worries, I am WAY out of the loop this year...just found out today is a rest day. I woke up hoping to watch as I came home late last night.

Finally, I will be able to sit and watch a stage tomorrow (well the 3 hour recap in the evening).

So, glad Martin got the stage today (just watched it). It would have been so sad if the poor chap waited 4 hours only to lose!

I am happy to see Froome continuing to do well!

The TT was awesome wasn't it. Martin did an amazing job...the waiting must have been torturous. So pleased that Froome is living up to his potential for the time being. Over 3 minutes is a pretty hefty lead but one bad day in the mountains could shatter that of course.

Today there's a big sprint finish. It's always good to watch the powerhouse guys sprint it out.
