I ended last week on a very positive note. I have been personally invited to apply for a pretty big promotion at work; it will almost double my current salary, which will be very helpful right now!

When my supervisor came to me and asked me why I hadn't put in for it already, I explained to her that I figured I had to be in my current position for more than 3 weeks to a month before I was eligible. She replied that I personally was eligible and urged me to consider it. In addition to being more money, it is very flattering that they think so highly of my work; so that made me smile.

This is one way I will seek joy this week. And after I catch up on all my bills, I will continue to seek even more joy by sponsoring my local sangha which offers weekend retreats and meditation classes and also hopefully having you do a private reading for me because you, Arwen, are uncanny.

I do love haiku that pops into my head while walking the dogs.

Today I celebrate the damp ground with the snails lacing their trails across my path. I drink in the beauty of the green leaves set off against a grey sky. I give thanks for the raindrops on my nose as I pass under oak trees waiting to share. Loved and loving, I love each of you. Seek joy, y'all. Pass it on.
