Mine comes from an old friend, who's a lot shorter than me, who one night we were out int the club looked up at me and said "luvva you're f*ckin' massive." And it's stuck with me ever since ... To explain, I'm 5'11'' barefoot.

i had a very embarrassing period in my life where i got obsessed with all of tolkien's books

i chop off the "l"

and so now it's firie

I've nothing but respect for one of the most brilliant authors that ever lived. Cool story behind the name though

i was just kinda totally geeky about it, that's all.

like the movies offended me, kinda geeky.

I liked the movies for what they were (saw them as separate from the books), but I was also kind of annoyed that they left out some key parts of the book. I don't think I'll ever forgive Peter Jackson for leaving out Tom Bombadil... But then again I am one of those types who actually counted the number of historical inaccuracies in Braveheart just for the shits n' giggles. Apparently I'm not very fun to watch movies based on books or history with lol
