My co worker gave me a "just because" friend card at the pub today. That really made me smile. When I opened that card, there was a gift certificate for a 1 1/2 massage!

my nephew graduated from 8th grade and will be a high school freshman next year......
this may have also made me weep a little....I was there when he was born....its just surreal that hes nearly a grown man...and refers to himself and his male classmates as such.....but I digress.... Im so super proud of my nephew....he has overcome a lot to achieve this....and I told him college is next! More tears......

So.... what made me smile today...
... ok, well, I was at the grocery store today, sporting my awesome new hair cut, feeling confident... and... walk by a woman, smile, keep going and I hear from behind me.... "Family?" ... it took me just a second to process then, turn and respond... "Yes!" This made me smile... its the first time... ever... that someone has looked a me and just... asked!

Smiled at my dog's excellent hygiene insistence. I went outside with him at daybreak. He was half asleep when he hiked his leg to relieve himself. He didn't realize he was on the wrong side of the downhill slope and it ran down onto the foot he was standing on. He immediately noticed his wet foot and was walking around shaking it, pausing to look back at it. Kevin was very disturbed. I washed his foot and I could tell he sure appreciated my actions.
Sometimes it is the simple things. I love my dog more than anything in the world. He is #1!!! Happy Thursday to All of You! |
