I probably have 20 movies, TV shows and doc's right now on my queue but I am so engrossed in House of Cards-not watching anything else.

The GF is playing 18 holes today and I am on a marathon. Outstanding! Just love it.

Inspector Morse is one of those shows I've always meant to watch but for some reason didn't happen. A couple of weeks ago I watched a show called Endeavor, loved it, and found more of them. Now I find out it was a prequel series to the Morse series. Anyway, I've now loaded all 33 episodes into my queue and plan to watch one or two a week.

Endeavour is a modern take on a Morse prequel. I suggest watching the real deal first dood. Morse is classic telly. Destination tv in it's day. Me and my Ma used to love it.

The Fosters is a compelling, one-hour drama about a multi-ethnic family mix of foster and biological kids being raised by two moms. Stef Foster, a dedicated police officer, and her partner Lena Adams, a school vice principal, have built a close-knit, loving family with Stef's biological son from a previous marriage, Brandon, and their adopted twins, Mariana and Jesus. Their lives are disrupted in unexpected ways when Lena meets Callie, a hardened teen with an abusive past who has spent her life in and out of foster homes. Lena and Stef welcome Callie and her brother, Jude, into their home thinking it's just for a few weeks, until a more permanent placement can be found. But life has something else in store for the Fosters.

The series stars Teri Polo as Stef, Sherri Saum as Lena, Jake T. Austin as Jesus, Hayden Byerly as Jude, David Lambert as Brandon, Maia Mitchell as Callie, Danny Nucci as Mike, and Cierra Ramirez as Mariana.

If you enjoyed House of Cards and are trying to find a show to fill the "void" until next season, have a go at "Boss". Kelsey Grammer plays the Mayor of Chicago and all that that implies. If you are a Law and Order SVU fanatic, like me, you will recognize his wife.

Zodiac: Based on real events, this chilling drama recounts the actions of a killer who stalked the streets of San Francisco and left clues in the newspaper.

(This isn't a scarey movie. The emphasis is on the investigation, not the killings. I watched this Friday night without getting the heebie jeebies!)

In both versions of HoC the main actor talks to the camera. I think it's a psychological ploy to soften the brutality of the main character. I think it's effective but a bit campy and apologetic. In Boss, I think the hallucinations are a cushion for the brutality of the main character, but it's not done in a campy way and it's unapologetic. I know that's nit-picking but it makes the difference between the two for me. Anyway, I really like this series. Thanks again for posting this!
