Highlight: Went out and about and met some pals for coffee and pastries. Sat outside and wanted to do some butch watching but no one was on the avenue. Still, had a lovely time—nothing beats having some good girlfriends.

Bummer: Rented a Nissan Rogue. This car is big enough to hold the Ringling Brothers AND Sisters. I'm returning it Monday for something smaller. I feel like I'm driving a tank.

Highs:
1.) Finding an ironing board at Thrift Town for eight bucks!
2.) Treating myself to a root beer.
3.) Cleaning, laundry, and grocery shopping done for the week.

Low: Clean sheets! (I'm a lucky guy!)

High: great workout
High: beautiful weather
High: art festival
High: evening shopping trip (quiet and cool and not crowded!)
Low: a little sunburn
Low: the peach lemonade could have been better at the festival

That's all I've got to complain about. Lovely day!

The Highs: Our campaign has gone pre-maturely and unexpectedly viral; splashed all over the national media for a week; I've busted through all my crowdsource fundraising goals; $$$'s are still rolling in; we've exceeded all of our expectations, the boss is reasonably happy; colleagues' morale is high.

The Lows: I'm really tired and it feels as though I'm out of balance, work is consuming a massive amount of my time and energy, even when I'm not there I'm drained and pretty useless and I feel kind of flat - with dimmed fizz; every new success brings with it so much more work; crazy demands and outrageous expectations (like cuckoo-crazy-town-crazy) and stress.

The Mediating Factors: Soon the campaign will be on-the-ground and (I'm hoping) the stress will shift a bit. Soon my Love will be here for awhile. Soon -but not soon enough- I'll have a good stretch of time to read books on the beach in the wilds of northern MI.
