Chef
Didn't care for it. Thought it was miscast. Would have liked seeing Bobby Cannavale or maybe an unknown Latino actor in the lead role and Jon Favreau in a secondary role. Music was nice. |

An IFC movie on Neftflix.
The Last Days. A unique, horror (but not slasher-type), love story. It was billed as a "captivating vision of the apocalypse". Ha! Not a zombie apocalypse either... I liked it. It was in Spanish, with sub-titles.

Kelly and Cal
Juliette Lewis, Cybill Shepherd, & Johnny Weston A punk-rocker turned suburban mom Kelly, nostalgic for the life she no longer has and uncertain of a future where she doesn't yet fit in. 17-year-old Cal (newcomer Jonny Weston), is frustrated at his lack of control over the hand he's been dealt. When the two neighbors meet, they find in each other an unlikely but much-needed connection to the world. I enjoyed it~~ check it out and see what you think~ |
