United States of America v James J Bolger
I like any movies or books about the Mafia or Underworld, but I have to say I was a bit disappointed that they didn't have more interviews with Bolger himself. Otherwise I would say check it out ![]() |

Starred Up (2013)
A troubled and explosively violent teenager is transferred to adult prison where he finally meets his match - a man who also happens to be his father. Director: David Mackenzie Writer: Jonathan Asser Stars: Jack O'Connell, Ben Mendelsohn, Rupert Friend http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2567712/ Very intense but extremely well done.

I saw these two today.
I saw this yesterday. I am developing a sincere interest in Shailene Woodley. She's phenomenal. I can't wait for the rest of the Divergent series as well as White Bird in a Blizzard. |

I saw this one today and really liked it.
I saw these yesterday: This one was good too. This one was bizarre but the ending was interesting. Pretty gruesome but I did like it.

Fury
October 17, 2014 (USA) April, 1945. As the Allies make their final push in the European Theatre, a battle-hardened army sergeant named Wardaddy commands a Sherman tank and her five-man crew on a deadly mission behind enemy lines. Out-numbered, out-gunned, and with a rookie soldier thrust into their platoon, Wardaddy and his men face overwhelming odds in their heroic attempts to strike at the heart of Nazi Germany. Director: David Ayer Writer: David Ayer Stars: Brad Pitt, Shia LaBeouf, Logan Lerman http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2713180/ We really liked this movie. Excellent WWII movie. Brad Pitt has turned into a really fine actor.

Went to go see the new Nicholas Sparks movie "The Best of Me". Good grief. It was great, however, I had wished it would of lingered a bit more on the more emotional/passionate parts. Overall, it was a great movie though, bring tissues, its a must have.

Recently saw Welcome to New York starring Gerard Depardieu and directed by Abel Ferrara. Though there's a pointed disclaimer at the start of the film, it's about the troubles of former IMF chief Dominique Strauss-Kahn who comes across as a despicable pig.
It was almost obscene, most certainly vulgar and violent, but none the less fascinating. It's the best work I've seen by Depardieu in years (!) and I will most likely watch this again. Here's a review of the film by Scott Foundas at Variety |
