My regular beer is usually Guinness,
Lately, however, I have taken to mixing 1/2 Guinness and 1/2 hard cider, oh so good and very autumnal

This sounds interesting. This drink is called a snake bite in Scotland but it is a light lager and hard cider, Guinness with lager is called a black and tan. I love Guinness but have never tried this combination.

The first time I ever had it was in a bar in Detroit, they called it a "Velvet Hammer" because, well, it goes down oh so smoothly but then kapow, your hammered

I love a good black and tan when it is poured correctly.
