It astounds me that this kind of thing is still any sort of issue. I wore a tux to my senior prom in 1980! Granted, that was at an American high school overseas and the attitudes were much more open. I am heartened that Dr. McFarland has seen the light. I will gladly lend my voice to the cause.
As an aside, I think it's great that the young woman at the center of this has the last name of Love.
