Being possible pre-diabetic, pie is out for me. I am happy to learn
it is a healthy choice for some who ARE diabetic.

I tend to stay away from sweets and carbs like toast every day, candy and pasta as much as I can.

My aunt who was diabetic since childhood had her legs amputated later in life and
I would never want to cause that to myself.

I admit I am a bit envious at people who can just eat what they like and not
worry about their health.

The slow spreading warmth in a sip of Tazo Spicy Ginger Tea. (Mmmmmm! I used to always prefer coffee, but now I find tea to be a much more sensual delight. I can't seem to get enough of it.)

Experiencing a book so alive with insight and wisdom that it physically grabbed me by the shirt collar and held me spellbound. Riveted, I was rendered powerless to look away. (For the duration of my lunch break, anyway!)

The sweet, ungodly pleasure that comes from removing your bra when it is far too restrictive and has been worn for far too long. (You just don't even know how good that felt today!)

And a sudden and unexpected flash of insight into myself as well as The Universe. (That was pretty cool, too.)

And sparkly beads. (People warned me about this! They were right.)

Special supper plans with a close femme friend, here at home. We went out to a little heard of place that specializes in authentic Chinese cuisine. Fabulous time, catching up on private aspects in our lives. For her: her eldest daughter's marriage held in the Mexican riviera and now expecting their first child. For me: upcoming plans to announce our engagement, this fall.

Lots of smiles, and tears of happiness.
