There's a 5-1/2 lb. tenderloin of beef slow-roasting in the oven...alongside ginormous russett potatoes...and if I'm ambitious I'll cook a veggie (just not sure what that might be)

Tonight was edamame, frozen pops, and cookies. Not the healthiest dinner out there, but it sure was good.

I have a thing about using up leftovers and not wasting food...so tonight I made homemade soup with yesterday's leftover beef tenderloin, potatoes, onion, garlic, a little celery, green beans, diced tomatoes, chicken stock (I was out of beef

), white and yellow corn, peas, a little tomato paste and a splash of worcestershire sauce. It was yummy if I do say so myself....and the velociraptors agreed.

To go with it, I made a batch of cheese biscuits from scratch (again...using up the leftover 4 cheese mexican blend from our nachos last week). My biscuits are ugly, but tasty. I've made so many thousands of batches that I don't bother with rolling them out and cutting them in pretty circles. I pat the dough flat, cut it with a knife and there ya' go....square biscuits. Deal with it!

Well since we're vampires and just woke up, I suppose it will kinda be our lunch....around midnight or 1...but we will be having Zattarin's Dirty Rice and maybe some sliced tomatoes, oh and definetly some olives....in the dirty rice....I'm wierd.
