The physically/mentally different thread!
i haven't seen a thread for those physically or mentally different here, so here it is. i still can't do more than one at a time, so here it's still colour. this thread is for all who use an aid to get around (cane, walker, wheelchair, person, etc.) or are physically different in some way. this thread is for those who are mentally different (autistic, have some form of mental "thing" defined by that oh so sacred DSMV? bible of the psychdocs, or define themselves as different however they wish) does that sufficient cover all? as Andrew so eloquently put it in hys thread on a different site: LET YOUR FREAK FLAG FLY!
ok, here me: i walk with a cane, decorated with flowers, of course,-i AM a femme-plus the words "queer, butch, femme, trans, etc" scattered about in the flowers. just to subvert the paradigm of ayone looking closely at the flowers. i am slowly or not so slowly going blind and am currently getting "certified" by my eyedr. to learn braille for free. i am also poor. i wear an eyepatch plus dark sunglasses whenever i go outside in the sunshine or normally lit buildings. i have chronic pain and other physical problems from MS,strokes, fibro, and other diseases that seem to run in the family. (nihaoma, Lady Wu!) i have depression, PTSD, and GAD. enough for one person? ok , y'all, YOUr turn! this is OUR place. do with it and in it as you will! pres |
