Stoney's Wee Wisdom Poetry
TATTOOS
Each word I write each thought I think Is like a tattoo etched across my heart and soul... I want to show you my brandings I want to share my experiences I want you to see through my words The dreams and journeys I have had... Come into my world one story at a time Share the moments that are now Displayed for all to see... Laugh with me cry with me But most of all understand me Truly take the time to see who I really am... Reach deep into the colors of my mind Look at all the details Now visualize my words as just that My tattoos for you to see... More to come

ANIMAL GUIDES
I see my owl so wise and true, With knowledge for the things I do... His wisdom strong, his watchful eyes, His gentle ways for me he guides... Next I feel the presence of, The delicate wings on my snow white dove... Graceful is she in the open skies, An example of the goals I strive... White buffalo enters unto me, He's strong and bold with a heart that's free... My strength he brings in the calmest of ways, No worries arise as he walks through his days... For now I know and no more will I fear, In my darkest times my friends shall be near... With wisdom and peace and strength at my side, These animal spirits are my animal guides... |

RAINDROP JOURNEY
The day has come for my journey to begin I wonder where I will end up Scared? No not me... I have waited patiently for this day I can hear the sounds of thunder clapping As if a round of applause for all of us Soon the clouds will swell full And release us all at once Excited? Yes very much so... At last I'm on my way The pressure in the air The heavy feeling of dropping I can't wait to land somewhere nice... The tongue of an innocent child Reaching out to catch that first raindrop Or better yet... On the cheek of a crying woman So I can wash away her sadness A freshly blossomed rose... That is where I want to end my journey The petals full and almost velvet like The brightest of color it displays The smell surrounding me till my end Faster I begin to descend faster faster As if being reeled in by its beauty Oh no, anything anything is better Than the thor... |

WEARY EYES Darkness is falling Upon my tired eyes... What then shall I see If there is no light remaining... I shall relax and reflect On the beauties of my active mind... Memories will be my vision I fear not what I can't see But rather on some of What I have seen... I will listen closely To the sounds around me For they will be the echos That I harness as my guide... Oh, do not sadden at my words I am but one of many that have Entered this realm... Be happy for me, for I will no longer Have to feel the pain and fatigue Within my eyes I will see with my heart, And with my soul Be not afraid for me, I will see you standing before me When we all return home... I wrote this many years back when I was still under the impression that I would be blind by 50. I have since been told differently...

MY BEAUTIFUL SUNSET
Walking along the shores Alone and deep in thought I realized then that I was far From where I wanted to be... The longer I walked Through the calm gentle waves That washed ashore I could feel myself Still no closer to my destination... I stopped and looked out to sea And discovered then that I would Never reach my sunset I will be chasing this sunset Till the end of time... I could feel the tears Begin to roll down my cheeks For I knew that in this conscious realization I had now surrendered The innocence of my eternal dream... You will always be my sunset I will always follow you And as each day passes And the glow of your light fades Into the dark of night Know that tomorrow is yet another day And I am walking the shores of life Forever chasing my beautiful sunset... |

MYSTICAL MIND
Tragic transitional gestures Of the radical mind Are never to be one With the inner beauty Of the wretched warrior So then why does the star Fall to the ground in silence Not for the attention As much as for the unforsaken desire To feel that moment of sadness As the onlookers gasp with disbelief You think this is me In a display of overpowering judgment Relax for now Wee one of this enormous existence I am not here to manipulate I am here to seek the hidden truths Of silent passions from your tethered mind Stand before the mystical powers Of the universe And relate to me through thought The one thing that your heart desires I can hear your inner voice As it cries out for attention Come forth with me And walk along the mountain's edge As we discuss peace and harmony Throughout our mortal lives |
