I once went swimming in the fish tank at Marineland, the one where they used to film underwater movies. There was a Moray eel in the tank, but he was very shy (thank goodness!). The skates were cute - they had their little fins poking out of the water like sharks. The OMG! moment was when I turned around and realized a school of grouper were heading right for me! (but they just parted and went right around me, and kept on going.) One of the most fun parts was when I was sitting on the side, and little kids kept asking me, "How did you get them to let you in there?" (I was clearly not an employee - I had my flowery swimsuit on, not a diving suit.)

Grew up a Hoosier, and my favorite sports are "hoops" and Formula 1 auto racing. Used to attend the Indy 500 each year. Can't think of a year that I've missed watching or listening to the race.

Also, right now I'm having a good time watching "March Madness." Would be considered a great time if Indiana University had made it into the playoffs. lol

Marineland was one of my Dad's favorite places to go. Somewhere, there is video, as well as pics, of the five of us kids all being silly while there at Marineland. lol We also went to Weeki Wachee, Six Gun Territory, and Bush Gardens (way back before it became an amusement park) on yearly vacations.

Erm . . . that was pretty much it, unless you want to hear about the part where I changed into my swimsuit in the dressing room.

As a kid i was amazed with the moon. I used to think it it was a hole in a black sky with a light on the other side.

As an adult I am still amazed by the moon. She always accompanies me on trips!

Oh! At the time, it was just something you could pay to do. I don't think many people took advantage of it though - I think more people wanted "dolphin encounters".

As child I was allergic to strawberries..I would break out in huge ugly hives all over my body if I ate one.

As an adult, I can eat all the strawberries I want...but I am always worried that the allergy will come back and one day when I eat one, i will have a horrible experience....

I was also allergic to strawberries when I was a toddler but grew out of it. No sign of it coming back, thankfully, but every once in while my mouth will tingle when I eat my oatmeal if my body thinks I've eaten too many nuts.
