As child I was allergic to strawberries..I would break out in huge ugly hives all over my body if I ate one.
As an adult, I can eat all the strawberries I want...but I am always worried that the allergy will come back and one day when I eat one, i will have a horrible experience....

My type of work involves dealing with a lot of people, which can be overwhelming at times because I am quiet by nature, live rather quietly, and actually like a quiet, peaceful, conflict-free atmosphere. Work has its own brand or type of conflicts, which is oft times typical when engaging with lots of people. I am very much an introvert. Capable of extroversion when necessary, but I prefer the quiet introversion of my life.

Getting to know you
I too am a very quiet person but can be an extrovert in business and in social situations.
I prefer the peace and quiet of my little ranch to almost everything else. The best way to describe me is that I am like a cat. I lay quietly in my lair and come out to play when I feel like it. I enjoy having friends and visiting them but I feel no need to be with people all of the time.

Consumption of alcohol or alcoholism has no place in my life anymore. I attend Al-anon, I have a sponsor in the program too. Alcohol does nothing for me. I used to partake of alcohol on rare occasion, maybe once a year, an casual sip at a social function, but alcoholism is prevalent in my family. My dad was an dry alcoholic, his behaviors were atrocious, my youngest son is an alcoholic, but I don't suffer from alcoholism except to say I suffered far too long with members of my own family who are alcoholics, and alcoholism. I won't date or even partner with anyone who is an alcoholic. I won't even date or partner with anyone in recovery.
