For the record, I'm really not a fan of the IM thing.
If you want to interact with people, you can trade yahoo messenger, skype or AIM addresses, if you don't want to use a PM. I don't want IMs from on the site, and if it is instituted I hope there is an option to decline IMs.

There is a mod for this but I am doing some reading on it and several users have reported an significant slowdown with bandwidth. More reading....
And Selly? I'm with you on this one. I would want an option to turn it off. I keep mine turned off most of the time on facebook. NAAG - What would feel different to you about the Facebook-style messaging than the Private Messaging system? Less response time?
