It's bad...I can't get out of this fucking slumpppppppppppp!!!!!!!!!!

Why oh why am I having such a hard damn time with this!!!

I can't get out of this rut...and I don't care...That's the hard part, why don't I care anymore...??? My mood changes from day-to-day....

Ok...I'm back and just raided a co-worker's desk. She had private stock of those ferro roche things and carmel turtle patties....I sucked down 3 of these delicious treats....It was heaven...OMG yummm....

I think I scared my friend Lisa when I just gnawed on all three things with choclate hanging out of my mouth and trying to hide while doing so.....And yes, I feel guilty now and savoring the leftover bits in my teeth.

I'm weak...Weaaaaaaaaaak!!!

((((((SCORPIE))))))))))))

Honey, I've been there and done that! As easily as I can motivate myself somedays, other times I can fall prey to my own peer pressure. I'm telling you, there are days when I have ZERO willpower. Once I get an idea in my head that I want something... it takes everything in my power to just say no. Somedays, I can't. Honestly, it's an addiction.

Try getting some healthier chocolate options and keep them in your desk. 3 Muskateers are "supposed" to be a good choice if you have to raid a vending machine. I know, it's fuckin' tough when you hear a Reese's Peanut Butter cup calling your name.

You are NOT weak Jackie! You can do this! Remember, when the days are hard, take it one meal at a time!

Seeee you can do this! Good choice on the granola! And Corkey is right, DARK CHOCOLATE is the best alternative there is to the bad stuff.

You are not being a downer honey. We've all had those days, where sabotaging ourselves is a hell of a lot easier that motivating ourselves. It's easy to fall back into our old ways and/or eating habits. That's why this journey is a bumpy one.

This group is all about the support & encouragement... we are all gonna have those days where it seems like we are fighting a losing battle. But let me tell you... I HAVE ALL THE FAITH IN THE WORLD IN YOU! You might be down, but you won't be for long. You are far too determined & stubborn I might add, to go defeated my friend! TRUST that!

OMG. I am SO excited!!!

My favorite Gayboy at work has been so supportive and rooting me on with my weight loss. He truly is the sweetest boy ever and informed me today that he was going to sell me his Nordictrack Elliptical for $100! This is the same machine he paid almost $1000 for!

I am BEYOND excited and can't believe I'm about to get my wish - Have been looking all over for the last year for an elliptical and have been disappointed several times because I want a quality machine that will support my weight. I have been looking all over the paper and craigslist and just couldnt pay what people were asking and so my delightful friend is helping me out so wonderfully.

ELLIPTICAL LOVE!

My Wizards weighed me in at 199 today.

For 7 years I have not seen a number below 200.

I attribute this to our changed eating habits via what I put in the cart at
the grocers. And difficulty with the face ~ feels like it ran a marathon after
a minute or so of chewing. That's another deal all together, but still.

I stepped on that stoopid scale today and I always let them know to
start at 200. They did, and I saw the thingy not move. She drops it
down to 150 n slides that thing over...it evened out at 199.
Wow. Just Wow.

Encouragement goes a long way.
There's a lot of it in this thread.
So thank you everyone!

Hi, Zimmy.

Consider trying the natural sweetner agave nectar. It is excellent and completely natural. It is the only sweetner I now use. I would recommend this brand. You should be able to find it in natural food stores if you can't find it in your grocery store.

Congratulations, Medusa! I just got mine put up the end of last week (finally). I am planning on taking the Thinker 30 day challenge and checking in here for the group to hold me accountable (well, in my own mind).

So far I am 2 for 2! I am forcing myself to do it early in the mornings b/c otherwise I won't do it. So odd to get up when it is still dark out!

Default Another crockpot concoction

Getting to be that time of year, when you haul the crockpot out for some easy cooking. Here's something I experimented with this weekend that turned out pretty good.

4-6 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (frozen is ok)
1 sweet red pepper, diced
half of one sweet onion, chopped
2 jars salsa (your choice)
1 can black beans
1 can corn (drained)
half to a full packet of taco seasoning (I used half a packet of the low sodium kind)

Put the chicken on the bottom and dump the rest of the stuff on top. Cook on low for 7 hours. I served this over some brown rice and it turned out great. Lots of room for variations with the recipe. This was me just clearing out some stuff in the freezer and fridge, really. In all, pretty healthy dish.

If you're gonna suck down some chocolate, get the dark kind, buy a bar and eat the whole thing at once, get it over with. By eating dark you get the good anti oxidants, and by eating the whole thing you get it out of your system. Then go grab an apple or some fruit and get back to doing what you know is good for you.
Stop beating yourself up!

Before my chocolate outburst eating episode I ate a fuji apple and a delicious nectarine and thought it would satify the sweet craving. Of course that didn't cut it so I went down the bad road...Surprise, surprise...

I'm just going through a bad time right now with this fucking stupid thing!

Good Afternoon Scorp,

You aren't weak. We all are here to help you and I can tell you, it is hard to maintain and lose weight. The first two years of my diet was awesome and then last year after breaking up with my ex and losing my job, I fell off the band wagon and didn't give a shit as to what I ate. One year later, I am trying to get back on my horse and lose the last 30lbs that I need to lose. You can do it and I will help you as much as I can.

I found that having dried fruit at work was a good snack or I kept the Kind bars around also. While working at Godiva for the first eighteen months of my diet, I ate the 72% to 85% dark chocolate. I would also allow myself one dark chocolate dipped macaroon as a treat once a week. They make a dark chocolate demitasse square and sell them in a demitasse box. See if you can pick up some of those and keep them in your desk.

Good luck and yes you can do this!

Zimmy
