Maybe he would like to be a part of our community?

i've invited him a few times but he's not that familiar with how message boards work and doesn't spend a huge amount of time on the computer. he's browsed the boards a bit but i haven't managed to talk him into making an account yet. i also have a big community of trans* and genderqueer friends on fb (most of whom i know offline but only see a few times a year), but he's not super comfortable with facebook either. i'm working on it, though

Well it does take some getting use to LOL.
We'll be here if he decides to come.

Check with the local Planned Parenthood. My honey sees a doctor there for his T.
You might consider contacting Transgender Law Center. They respond to email questions and phone calls at no charge and may have suggestions for dealing with the insurance company.

we have a temporary reprieve - his pcp has agreed to do the shots for the next 12 weeks so that his insurance will cover it (i think). they won't cover labs or visits to the endocrinologist, though, and the pcp isn't willing to supervise long-term. but i'm going to contact the transgender law center and see if they have ideas for appealing to the insurance company.
thanks everyone.
