Im a bit old fashioned, i like to do the asking out but if i were asked out and wasnt sure it was a date I would definately make sure I was clear on what basis it was - on the other hand if you went out with someone and didnt want to see them again, it would be quite handy to be able to say "hey, I didnt know it was a date, i thought we were just hanging out" I like options............lol!
