**** I actually just remembered this. Your story brought it back. I was walking on a trail once and saw a man ahead of me. I could only see the back of him but I remember he was big and wearing a red and white plaid shirt. I felt compelled to follow him and went all the way to the end. This trail is paved and ends at a dead end. There was no place this man could have gone but when I reached the end, he wasn't there. Weird.

I have opened myself up a lot lately. I seem to be able to read what some people are thinking about, or how they are feeling. I have had a few people (who I don't know other then to randomly chat now and then with them on here) say to me that I need to get out of their heads, in a joking way. It is shocking to me because I never really had that happen before. |

Alright, I thought of another one:
In 2002, my then-partner and I went to see a Tori Amos concert. We were in our seats waiting for the show to start when this rather beautiful biological man with long dark hair, dark eyes, and a trench coat came down the aisle, walking in a way that it seemed he was floating. He stopped near us and stared intently at the stage. I must have gotten caught up in his aura or something because I looked at him and heard myself say, "You're looking for the red-headed girl." He turned toward me and kind of smiled and said he was. He looked around a bit and I believe we may have spoken for a minute or two. He had a very unusual, 'otherwordly' quality about him. My then-partner said something and I turned to her. When I looked back, the man had vanished. I mean just disappeared and I couldn't have looked away for more than a second. We talked about him for a minute or two and tried to locate him but couldn't. The show started and we forgot all about him. Here's where it gets weird: We both went to bed that night and had the exact same dream about him. (No, not like that. lol!) We were at a type of tea party a-la "Alice in Wonderland" and he was there. It was more involved than that but when we woke up, we realized we'd both dreamed the exact same thing. When I do tell this story, I say it's the one time I may have met a vampire (though I don't actually believe in them). He looked like he'd just walked off the set of "Interview - With the Vampire". This was before it was cool for vampires to sparkle. ![]()

Tonight, on my drive home, I passed an old (now abandoned) mill. I had just started going over a bridge across from it when I noticed 3 men standing at different points on the bridge. Since I never see anyone on that bridge I was curious. A car passed me just then, and after it was a bit away, I put on my high beams to see what all the people were doing on the bridge. But there was no one there....I saw them SO distinctly though..Right down to wearing hats...they were walking, most of them turning towards the water. I remember thinking someone must have jumped....it was the oddest thing...
Made me remember a couple other things.... When my ex husband and I were first married, we bought an older house. (Late 1800s). One day as we were getting home, I got out of the car and just happened to look at the outside of the kitchen window. In the reflection I saw a man standing by the stone wall behind me. Scared me so much I jumped...I turned to see who it was and there was no one there... Also at that house, I had a very peculiar instance of hearing an argument between two men speaking French coming from my basement....I was in my living room and heard them yelling RIGHT below me...very odd... And one last thing... I once worked for the Department of Mental Retardation. The facility I worked for was on a huge 100s of acre site. They had the newer buildings (which I worked in) but across the street, now overgrown in the woods, they had the old housing that was provided before the treatment of the mentally retarded had improved. It was winter. I decided to visit these buildings (there were 3 large multi story buildings, as well as 4 adorable cottages (used as nurseries) that were all sitting empty and crumbling). I was in one of the larger buildings, on the second floor. I was near a window and I heard the distinct sound of footsteps in snow...I took a peek out the window ( I was trespassing...I admit it) and saw a man in a hoodie and sweat pants walking through the snow... I freaked out at the thought of being caught there and ran quietly down the stairs to the lower landing (which because of the way the building was made was still like being on the 2nd floor)....I heard the footsteps still. I could make an easy and less noticeable exit through the front...When I went through the front and looked to see where he was, there was no one to be seen. There were no doors for him to enter through since he was in the back of the building....The snow made it hard to walk very fast anyhow...my curiosity got the better of me and I went to look where I had seen him walking and there were no footsteps in the snow. Yeah, I never went back there alone...EVER... |

One morning I was in bed nursing my oldest daughter, Clarissa. My mind wandered a tad..and I began to consider a lamp that we received as a wedding gift. It was a touch lamp, and as I looked at it I started thinking...what would I do if the light just turned on? Knowing full well that the light can ONLY be turned on by touching it....and I focused on that thought...very intently...and I SWEAR by God and all the Saints and on my kids' souls, the light suddenly turned on.
![]() I admit, I got really freaked out by this and I got up with the baby and turned the light off the usual way. I think I may have even unplugged it... |

Last week, my daughter and I were checking out the outside of a house we were considering renting. It was an older home, late 1800's, with a huge tree in the backyard. As we were looking around, something out of the corner of my eye made me look towards one of the bedroom windows, where I thought I glimpsed a figure looking out (the place was empty). It's not that it was scary, but something was "wrong" around the big tree. I also had mixed feelings of "home" and "something wrong" when we went up the huge old steps in front to peek in the front rooms.
As we drove off down the street, an orb suddenly flew up in front of the windshield and over the back of the car. There were no other cars around, no lightening, and the nearest streetlight was farther down the street. The last couple days, I've had that "something's wrong" sense in parts of my apartment, which already had creepy things going on. Of course, I later found out that the house we were looking at had several deaths in it and a murder ![]()
