My friend Tony started the Jim Collins Foundation and has been doing a great job of getting it going. The aim of the foundation is to raise money so that transfolks who can't afford surgery can be helped. He has been doing all sorts of fund raisers in Southern New England and the NYC area.

They are just getting started so I don't know when they will be able to help anyone with their surgery finances, but it's a good group of people to get involved with. Tony is really good at organizing and getting things done so I have no doubt that the Jim Collins Foundation will grow and grow.

There is a chapter here in San Diego that meets twice monthly.. They also have chapters all over the US and other countries as well as online resourses and a few forums.
