Having recently returned from Munich, my new favorite is their Oktoberfest beer. It is brewed specifically for the duration of the celebration.

My regular beer is usually Guinness,
Lately, however, I have taken to mixing 1/2 Guinness and 1/2 hard cider, oh so good and very autumnal

This sounds interesting. This drink is called a snake bite in Scotland but it is a light lager and hard cider, Guinness with lager is called a black and tan. I love Guinness but have never tried this combination.

I can't seem to find the Terrapin Rye that I loved sooo much...of course I haven't been to a real ABC store either....

Its either that or force myself to go out for some bluegrass one night and get me one on tap....and I do mean ONE...its a good strong ale and made me tipsy as heck lol

I'm sooo craving a Pisgah ale...they had it on tap where I got take out tonight. I considered getting one while I waited but I'm not always sure if I will get tipsy...and I had to drive home. But the hankerin is reallll bad now. Asheville made a beer lover of me....

I can't WAIT to start going to bluegrass concerts again. That's the occasion I chose to try the local Asheville beers. There is such an amazing assortment, I had only just begun to explore.

When I worked at the country club, there was a very elderly man that would come in from golfing every day at 10am and get a Highland Gaelic Ale... http://www.highlandbrewing.com/ One day, he came in and the tap was not working and the bartender had to fix it and offered him something else instead. He preferred to put his golf game on hold and wait for the tap to be fixed, he loved this beer that much lol.

I think that will be one of the first ones I try..plus...I love the name!

If any of y'all are ever in Asheville, I would be happy to join you for this!

My local store lets u buy a six pack of singles....so I got a varied assortment of Highland brewery....angry orchards....a west coast inspired Ipa from Sam Adams and mostly local stuff

I am just loving everything I've tried from Asheville's own Highland Brewery...

Their Gaelic ale is especiallyyy good. I think I see a brewery tour in my future lol
