T'was last eve.....I made marinade of lemon juice, soy sauce, cinnamon, ginger, and black pepper...poured over salmon steaks...placed lemon slices on top...baked at 325 for half hour...OMG were they ever good. I sautéed fresh squash with onions and cherry tomatoes, made a salad with shredded lettuce, cherry tomatoes, and onions topped with dried cranberries, chopped walnuts, and lecans....yum yum!

bbq ribs I smoked in the smoker.....steamed mixed vegetables. Dessert...my honey made toll house cookies from scratch....with double the chips....milk and semi sweet...pecans and walnuts! Fresh out the oven.....

toasted is the only way to go!
Stopped by the deli, got a little bit of ham, little bit of turkey, little bit of salami and a lil bit of capicola. Then had him run off a few slices of provolone. Had bought a mighty fine authentic hoagie bun, sliced that bugger and laid out all the meats and the cheese on top. In the oven it went to get toasty! Had bought a small bag of shredded lettuce and a large tomato as you can never put to many slices of maters on a salad or sammich! Forgo the raw onion.....not into it. Once out of the oven, load it with the tomato and lettuce, a good spritz of vinegar and oil with a few spices in it and hot damn there is an authentic italian hoagie! Of course with a side of Amish potato salad! YUM!

Can't say my meal is overtly special, but I love the occasional homemade shepherd's pie. Huge slice of this, with some homemade honey mead. The last traces of a winters meal, touching the pallet of my tongue!

I knew I wanted something spicy...
I cooked a pot of rice... then in a pan I sauteed jalapeno sausage, added a small can of corn and a can of chili beans. I sprinkled taco seasoning and cumin into the prepared rice and over the sausage mix....added the sausage mix to the pot....absolute yumminess...
