In this day and age of electronic spoken communication (Skype, voice mail, phone, etc...), and in good old fashioned face to face conversations, I am constantly doing a double take, not with my eyes, but with my ears.

I'm sure we all have this experience frequently, and sometimes it can be pretty hysterical.

So, go ahead and tell us...

I’ll probably be posting in here frequently since I often hear something other than what was actually said. But I’ll start out with some things I have said into the phone that the voice text picked up wrong. When Hollylane and I first met, I spoke into the mic to text “so you’re 40”. It heard and typed “so you’re horny”. It’s a miracle that she continued to chat with me after that.

Ok, so this wasn’t something I heard but misread. A while back there was a thread call Survivor: South Pacific or South something. Every time I saw that thread on the front page I would see it as Survivor: South Park.

This happens to me too. In fact, it happened to me today.

Similar issue with Spellchecker on my phone... I was emailing a physical therapy schedule to someone and the shorthand "PT Eval" ended up being changed to "PT Evil".

The person doing the PT work totally agreed with Spellchecker... we all had a good chuckle.
