GOOD MORNING & happy Thursday healthy folks!
Well, today was weigh in day for me. Sadly, the scale said I gained 1 pound. For a split second I got sad, but then I looked in the mirror and reassured myself that YES, I CAN DO THIS! Of course D was encouraging and reminding me that I am doing so good & not to give up... and said, "let's take your measurements". It's only been a week, so I wasn't expecting much at all ~ especially when the scale said I gained 1 pound. We broke out the tape measure... bust ~ -1 inch hips ~ -1/2 inch leg ~ 1 inch arm ~ - 0 and waist ~ -3 inches! HOLY SHIT! That's a total of 5 1/2 inches lost in ONE WEEK! Sometimes the scale doesn't always reflect the changes that our bodies are making! Please don't get discouraged! If your clothes are fitting looser and your body just feels better ~ you are on the right track! |

I personally don't measure my success by the scale. I stopped getting on it about 2 months ago. I know that given my workout, I may gain weight, exchanging fat for muscle. I measure my success by the the way I look and feel. No longer walking through a crowd with my head down, walking proudly, head up, smiling! Putting on a pair of Levis that I haven't worn in 2 months to find I can't wear them because they fall down! Hitting the last notch on my belt and having to go shopping before I leave on vacation for a new one. NOW THAT'S SUCCESS!

Drat, no change in weight this week. BUT I did go to the gym everyday. I can feel my sore tight abs. And I am off to Yoga two more times this week. No dance on Monday, its a holiday here. I will miss my Zumba.
I guess what I should not have done was wait until after my patients left to have supper... I should probably try to eat between the time I get home from the gym and the time they arrive. And I think drinking sweet yummy wine (alot) this week has had its toll on my weight. Stupid wine points. Why can't it be free like bananas are now? ![]() ![]() I WILL NOT BE DETERRED ![]() ![]() ![]()

Me to,I eat plenty of protein,my fix is chedar cheese and rye crisp or pork skins with peanut butter.I dont hardly eat fruit anymore cause of the fruit cose/carbs.I keep seasoned chicken strips I grill in a covered bowl so if I want to eat I can munch on them or hard boiled eggis..then there is celery and pemento cheese to crunch on.

Well I know what I am going to do tonite... My waist is much smaller. I also noticed on the weekend my Ganesha Tattoo is smaller. I have it on my upper arm and I was looking at it and was all like oh my goddess you got smaller.... I hope he does not mind that I am reducing his belly... ![]()
